Pleasant Hill Campground
Have you ever wanted to get away from it all, but maybe not too far from it all? Pleasant Hill Campground is the perfect spot for exactly that! Our 55 acres of campground heaven is situated in the rural Hermon, Maine countryside. We’re conveniently located to everything you could possibly need while still giving you that feeling of getting away from it all so you can relax and recharge!
You can spend your days cooling off in our pool, lounging in a hammock (bring a good book!), or joining in on campground events and activities. Rest and relaxation await you, from walks through the woods on our trails to looking for frogs in the ponds or staring up at a night sky full of stars. It’s beautiful out here!
While there’s plenty to do on the grounds, Pleasant Hill Campground is also a great home base for day trips to Maine’s top destinations. From the mountains to the coast, you can go exploring and still make it “home” for evening s’mores.
At Pleasant Hill Campground, there are several ways to stay! We offer short and long-term stays during our season, which usually runs from May 1st to Columbus Day in mid October. We offer various options for your stay, including tent sites, RV sites, and cabins.

For Your Perfect Maine Vacation
Pleasant Hill Campground is located only five miles from Bangor, the third largest city in Maine. You can easily check out the foodie scene downtown, attend a Waterfront Concert, or catch games and events at the University of Maine or Husson University.
Looking for a day trip? We’re about an hour’s drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument, and the Moosehead Lake Region.
Seeking the sea? Visit Boothbay Harbor, Camden, and the rest of the mid Coast or head “Downeast” to Maine’s tiny fishing villages like Winter Harbor for some great Maine Lobster. Or visit Eastport, the most Eastern city in the US.
Missing the big city feel? You can take an excursion down to Portland and still be back at the campground all in the same day!

Meet Michelle Shores, our General Manager, the heart of our campground family. Her expertise and warm personality shine through in everything she does, from managing the campground to curating fun activities and events for our visitors. Brooke Robbins, our Office Manager, personifies the essence of camping, evolving from a tent camper herself at Pleasant Hill to a key member of our team.
Together with our extended family of dedicated staff and our unique mascot, Sunny the Sloth, we’re here to make your stay not just pleasant, but extraordinary.
